NORA invites you to participate in Oil Recycling Day
In conjunction with Earth Day 2009, NORA announced a new date to further promote responsible recycling and the proper use, reuse, and recycling of used oil. On September 30th, NORA invites you to participate in Oil Recycling Day, a national program educating Americans on the importance of recycling used oil. NORA, an association of top liquid recycling companies, will organize the efforts to encourage Americans to bring their used oil to responsible recyclers rather than pollute the environment.
liquid Recycling used oil parts cleaning anti-freeze filters & absorbents wastewater chemicals
Used motor oil has the unique property of being able to be completely recycled back to its original state to be reused over and over or converted to a valuable fuel, explained Scott D. Parker, NORA Executive Director. Currently, only fifty percent of the motor oil sold annually in the U.S. is being recycled. There is no reason why we cant reach 100%. NORA will organize Oil Recycling Day on September 30th and plans to launch a national campaign with a website, community collection day program, school lesson plans, promotional posters, and more.
